I-3A.1 To establish and maintain relationships of respect, trust, confidentiality, collaboration, and cooperation with co-workers.
- We need to work together to help the children and families. Some one at my work says; "One fight, one team."
2) Responsibility to children
I-I.3 To recognize and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child.
- As educators, we need to focus on the needs of each child in our care. It is not a "one size fits all" work!
3) Responsibility to families
I-2.3 To welcome all family memebers and encourage them to participate in the program.
- The more the parents are involved in their children's schooling the better. Parents are children's first teachers so being able to have the parents observe the school teacher will only enforce the positives to the children.

Hi Chrissy,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about we all need to work together, there is no I in team. The children and their familioes, depend on us to watch over them and teach them. We are they family away from home. We all want to see the children develop and learn.
Chrissy, I agree with each ideal you have shared. Recognizing and respecting each child's unique qualities and abilities allows for a better experience. With accommodations and/or adjustments, children can experience learning in an enjoyable way.
